JCAHO Accreditation for Treatment Centers & Medical Facilities

Our trained and dedicated staff have years of experience assisting drug and alcohol rehab facilities in becoming JCAHO accredited, which is required if you want to receive payments from many insurance companies. On this page, we discuss what JCAHO accreditation is, how Oracle can help you receive it, and why you should consider choosing Oracle as your JCAHO accreditation consultant. Please note that you may also need CARF accreditation, which we also help with and discuss on our CARF Accreditation page.

What is JCAHO Accreditation?

JCAHO is a non-profit entity that stands for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It has provided accreditation for thousands of facilities nationwide and is recognized by most insurance companies and even required by others to receive payment for claims submitted. It should therefore be considered necessary for any treatment center or medical facility to receive this accreditation.

Receive JCAHO Accreditation with Oracle Billing

Receiving JCAHO accreditation requires an extensive application process that includes multiple detailed site visits by representatives from the JCAHO. Think of this process as an entire audit of your treatment center or medical facility from top to bottom.

Our team at Oracle Billing knows the intricacies of the JCAHO application process and has helped dozens of facilities become JCAHO-accredited in states across the country. Our staff is composed of a mixture of former insurance employees, medical billers, and customer service representatives who have years of experience working with JCAHO-accredited facilities. We know the ins and outs of this tedious and difficult process, so let us help ensure you have the best chance possible of receiving your JCAHO accreditation.

CARF Accreditation for Treatment Centers & Medical Facilities

We have years of experience assisting drug and alcohol rehab facilities in becoming CARF accredited, which is required if you want to receive payments from many insurance companies. On this page, we discuss what CARF accreditation is, how Oracle can help you receive it, and why you should consider choosing Oracle as your CARF accreditation consultant. Please note that you may also need JCAHO accreditation, which we also help with and discuss on our JCAHO Accreditation page.

What is CARF Accreditation?

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is an international non-profit organization with the goal of establishing consistent and high standards of care for rehabilitation facilities. If you receive CARF accreditation, insurance companies will recognize that you meet and uphold the necessary standards of care to provide reimbursement for treatment.

CARF adheres to strict guidelines and standards that all of its accredited locations must follow, which enables a strong universal standard of care among those within the CARF network. The organization provides standards manuals that outline these standards for behavioral health, aging services, child and youth services, business and services management networks, opioid treatment program, medical rehabilitation, employment and community services, and vision rehabilitation services.

The cost of a CARF accreditation includes payment for the CARF surveyors as well as a fixed fee. The fixed fee for any organization – regardless of its size – is $995. The total cost for accreditation depends on how many surveyors are needed as well as the number of days needed to complete the onsite survey. The cost per surveyor per day is $1,525.

Receive CARF Accreditation with Oracle Billing

Receiving CARF accreditation can be a year-long and tedious process, but we’re here to help ensure you successfully complete every step of the process and receive your accreditation. Specifically, our team will help you complete the following steps of the accreditation process:

Understanding Your Guidelines:

We’ll help you understand all of your guidelines depending on the type of facility you run, whether you work in behavioral health, aging services, child and youth services, business and services management networks, opioid treatment program, medical rehabilitation, employment and community services, or vision rehabilitation services.

Conducting Your Self-Evaluation:

We’ll help you conduct a self-evaluation of your facility based on your type of facility’s specific guidelines.

Preparing Your Survey Application:

We will prepare your survey application, including your location, detailed information about leadership, and the programs and services for which you hope to obtain accreditation.

Submitting Your Survey Application:

We will submit your application and ensure everything is submitted appropriately and in a timely manner.

Paying Your CARF Invoices:

We can submit your payment on your behalf to make sure everything is submitted correctly.

Preparing for Your Site Survey:

We will prepare you for the site survey that will be conducted by a CARF representative. You will be as prepared as possible to ensure you have an excellent chance of receiving your accreditation.

Helping with Your Next Steps:

After your site survey, you will either receive a one year accreditation, three year accreditation, or no accreditation. Depending on CARF’s decision, we’ll help you with your next steps and follow-up with CARF.

State Licensing for Treatment Centers & Medical Facilities

Receiving state licensing can involve more than six months of paperwork and requires exceptional attention to detail throughout each step of the process. Plus, applying for a license is expensive, and you don’t receive a refund if your application is rejected. Because of the time and money needed to become licensed, you cannot afford to submit an application that’s anything less than excellent.

Our team at Oracle has decades of combined experience helping treatment centers and medical facilities from coast to coast receive state licenses. We’ve seen the application, we know the ins and outs, and we know what the State Department emphasizes during their inspections.

Let us help you become licensed for a portion of the cost it would take if your application is rejected.

Claim Submissions:

We work with you and the insurance companies to ensure your claims are submitted accurately and that you receive what you are owed.

Payment Postings:

We post and log your payments in a timely and accurate manner, so you don’t have to worry about this tedious aspect of medical billing.

Claim Follow-Ups:

Our team follows up on each claim we submit to make sure no details are missed throughout the billing process.

Patient Statements:

We create and keep track of all patient statements and ensure everything is stated correctly.

Medical Group Financial Accounting:

We work as “full-charge” medical billing consultants, offering a wide range of medical group financial accounting services. These services include ____, ____, ____, and more.

Why Choose Oracle Billing?

We exist to make your life easier and to ensure you get everything you’re owed. The following are just a few of the reasons why working with us will help your business:
